SharePoint’s limited multilingual capabilities give you the choice between segregating your users and your content in different sites depending on language, or localize parts of the User Interface and none of the content.

PointFire 365 means two different people going to the same link will each see it in their language, including user interface, customizations, and content. It has several different techniques for doing this. You can tag any webpart to be visible only in one language or another. You can tag documents, lists or calendar events by language, and users will only see the versions in their language, or turn off filtering. list view web parts can be viewed filtered by language or unfiltered. When used with page libraries, the linked document translations will seem to share the same URL: A Spanish and a French version of a page will seem to share the same URL and a link to that page will lead to a version in the user’s language if that version exists.

When used with the companion product PointFire Translator, any document, list item, or calendar item can be machine translated, and will be stored and filtered by language immediately. Alternatively, use professional translators.

PointFire installs easily as a SharePoint-hosted add-in, so none of your content goes to our servers. It supports up to 50 languages. It works very similarly to the on-premise versions of the product, PointFire 2007, PointFire 2010, PointFire 2013, and PointFire 2016.
